Dear
We are experiencing slow I/O and reduced storage performance at the EUMETSAT side of the EWC. This may have an impact in S3 actions and authentication through the sssd service in the VMs.
If you experience authentication issues, please restart the VM. if you prefer not to reboot, you can attempt a more controlled recovery by manually logging into the VM using the Openstack console https://confluence.ecmwf.int/display/EWCLOUDKB/Login+into+an+instance+using+Openstack+Console. Once logged in, you need to restart sssd service using the following command: sudo systemctl restart sssd
If you are facing any other problems and you require our support, please tell us here or at https://jira.ecmwf.int/servicedesk/customer/portal/9
We apologies for the inconvenience this might cause to you!

The I/O problems should be resolved but we are still closely monitoring the situation and looking at possibilities to prevent future issues.
If you are still experiencing difficulties, such as poor I/O performance, slow VM deployment, or poor performance with S3, please contact us at https://chat.europeanweather.cloud or https://jira.ecmwf.int/servicedesk/customer/portal/9.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!
