On this space we collect material for evaluation of severe/extreme weather events. The focus is on the meteorological conditions and the forecast performance. The amount of material differs from case to case, and we are not claiming to give the full picture of the cases here. 201607 - Rainfall - China
On 19-20 July 2016 a severe rainfall hit China.Preliminary figures says 14 people dead and 7100 houses affected but landslides. The precipitation in the Beijing metropolitan reached 300 mm.

201606 - Flooding - France
During the first days in June River Seine was flooded. The flooding culminated in Paris late on 3 June with a raised water level of 6.3 metres, being the highest level since 1955.

During the last days of May, western and central parts of Europe from France to Poland and Hungary was hit by events of severe convection and heavy rainfall.
